 Representative Muri brings in new legislative assistant to staff Olympia office

Muri's legislative assistant, Matt Helder, lives in the 28th District with his wife, Shelly, and black labrador, Kona. He completed his undergraduate studies at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, and also participated in ROTC at Gonzaga University. Matt served on active duty in the Army for four years as a Field Artillery Officer, and completed a tour in Afghanistan, where he earned the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Action Badge. He was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord during his service.

“I'm very fortunate to have Matt on staff helping me see through my legislative duties,” said Muri, R-Steilacoom. “He's an incredible resource for the residents of the twenty-eighth district and I'm very grateful for his support and assistance.”
