Rep. Muri and Sen. O'Ban host town hall event Wednesday, Nov. 18
Rep. Dick Muri, R-Steilacoom, and Sen. Steve O'Ban, R-Pierce County, are inviting residents of the 28th District to a town hall event Wednesday, Nov. 18. The two lawmakers want to hear from the public about issues and priorities as they prepare for the 2016 legislative session, which begins in January.
“With the next legislative session fast approaching, I am looking forward to hearing from my constituents about their expectations,” said Muri. “This gives me an opportunity to talk about the issues important to them.”
“Hearing directly from you allows me to best represent our Pierce County community in Olympia,” said O'Ban. “A town hall forum provides a great opportunity for legislators to hear your ideas to improve how state government works for you. During this already busy season, I appreciate anyone who is able to join us and I look forward to speaking with many Pierce County residents.”
The town hall meeting will be held:
Wednesday, Nov. 18
6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Bethel High School Library
22215 38th Avenue East, Spanaway, WA
No RSVP is required to participate in the event. People not able to attend are encouraged to send their questions and concerns by phone or email. O'Ban can be reached at (360) 786-7654 or by email at steve.oban@leg.wa.gov, and Muri can be contacted at (360) 786-7890 or by email at dick.muri@leg.wa.gov.
The 60-day 2016 legislative session is scheduled to start Monday, Jan. 11.
